Summit 2017: Learning You Can Take To The Bank

Helping our clients get the most out of their Dynamics GP investment is what we do, and one of the critical pillars in this is through educational opportunities. Based on our experience of going to conferences over the years, we believe the Summit User Group is the top learning opportunity this year. The Summit User Group conference is the best end-user focused event that delivers the latest information on Dynamics GP and Dynamics CRM features and the exciting ways these can optimize your business processes.

With an expected attendance of 2000, the GPUG Summit will be the place where the greatest level of GP expertise will be concentrated for a 3-day learning opportunity. Although the detailed agenda is not yet available, it is safe to say that based on prior years there will be an extensive range of topics such as Business Intelligence, Financials, GP Admin, GP System Admin, Payroll / HR, Reporting, Strategy, Upgrades and more.  And with over 170 total GP sessions, there is something for every type of user including some Canadian specific content!

As many of our clients have users with professional designations, attending GPUG Summit is a great way to achieve professional development credits.  Last year there were 158 CPE (Continuing Professional Education) eligible sessions.

Summit 2017 will be at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville Tennessee from October 10-13, 2017. Early bird prices are available now until June 29, 2017 and hotel space is always limited.

If you’re looking for a great Dynamics GP and/or CRM learning experience this year, we invite you to join us at the Summit 2017 in Nashville. For more information, go to GPUG Summit 2017 or CRM Summit 2017.

Summit 2016: Supercharge Your Dynamics Skills

Summit 2016 is the top Dynamics user group conference for GP (GPUG) and CRM (CRMUG).  With Dynamics Convergence now retired, the Summit attendance is expected to jump from 4,100 last year to 6,000 this year.  The focus is on end user education, making this event the perfect opportunity to increase your knowledge of Dynamics GP and/or CRM.

Summit is designed to give users access to Microsoft leadership and credible peer-to-peer knowledge exchange, and to broaden attendee knowledge horizons through keynotes, product roadmaps, focused learning and networking.  The goal is for attendees to gain solutions for everyday challenges and to better plan for larger organizational goals.

Summit 2016 is set for October 11th to October 14th in Tampa, Florida.  Joesoftware is attending the event, so if you plan to be there, please let us know so that we can meet with you.  For more information or to register, please go to GPUG Summit 2016 or CRMUG Summit 2016.  We hope to see you down in sunny Tampa next month.

Lunch and Learn Spring 2016

Joesoftware was again successful in hosting our spring 2016 Lunch and Learn at the Mayfair golf club in Edmonton AB, where 32 attendees learned more about Microsoft Dynamics, Penny, Spencer, and Marshal. The event was filled with great networking, tons of useful information, and amazing food provided by the staff at the Mayfair Club.

Marshal at GFOA in Banff AB

Put it in your calendars, Joesoftware will be attending the GFOA AB in Banff starting May 29th. Stop by our booth to meet Marshal, our Health and Safety Management application. We are excited to introduce Marshal at this years’ conference – it’s a perfect fit for municipalities and government agencies of all kinds and has been developed to comply with Alberta safety standards, which are some of the most rigid standards across Canada. Considering these high standards, and utilizing Microsoft’s CRM platform, Marshal allows you to create custom dashboards and work flows to suit all of your municipality’s needs. Come and talk to us about what we are doing with the MD of Greenview!

Joesoftware is not only a longstanding Microsoft Silver partner but we also develop and offer other products too. Penny, Spencer and our newest product Marshal allow us to demonstrate our expertise with Microsoft products and provide you with a personal and full experience.

We look forward to seeing you at GFOA AB 2016! For more information feel free to contact Sheila.

Where Did The “Sails” Go?

After a very long time, it looks as though the sails in the Microsoft Dynamics logo have deflated. During Worldwide Partner Conference in July 2015, Microsoft announced that there are “no sails in the Microsoft Dynamics logo” any longer. It appears they are simply using “Microsoft Dynamics” to umbrella Office 365, Dynamics GP and Power BI under the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility suite.

We still need to “click” on an icon to take us into our applications such as Dynamics GP, CRM, or the iTunes app store – the new icon looks like this:

Sail Blog #1

Ironically, it is astonishingly similar to Joesoftware’s iconology! Joesoftware has always been recognized as a trusted advisor in the GP community and it’s flattering to see that even Microsoft follows our lead.  Who knew we would have such an influence?

Sail Blog #2
