If you’re doing your homework as you look for the right software partner or if you are one of our longstanding clients, we wanted to share a little more about ourselves.

Our name

Many people ask, what’s behind the name, Joesoftware? Well, we wanted a name that reflected our approach to business. A name that had an approachable, friendly feel because we strive to make it easy for clients to work with us. It sounds like an obvious approach, but the way we do business isn’t common in our industry, where software jargon and tech talk often reign supreme and other consultants know little to nothing about business.

Joesoftware felt relatable and it was easy to remember. We also embraced our tagline, Works for People, because it told our customers what they needed to know about us. Works for People says we work closely with your team and for your team, and we make things work. We have a proven history of delivering software that works for people.

How did Joesoftware start?
The founders of Joesoftware have backgrounds in programming, databases, and the financial sector. The company started off doing a little bit of everything for our clients – setting up servers and routers, creating web pages and databases, and more. It soon became clear there was an opportunity to narrow our focus and specialize in delivering smart software solutions for midmarket companies, which is what Joesoftware still does today.

Ahead of our time
We’ve been in business for nearly 22 years, long before anyone was talking about building tech ecosystems or driving innovation through technology. We understood the power of technology and the impact it would have on our lives and businesses. We wanted more medium and large sized businesses to harness this advantage.

Our thirteen employees are a powerful force. Our team is an eclectic mix of accountants, business people, programmers, and database experts. This diversity of backgrounds means we understand the many different sides of our client’s businesses. It also allows us to work with a broad range of sectors from manufacturing to nonprofits to government agencies to midmarket companies making a name for themselves in their respective industries.
