Microsoft announces Azure Cloud price changes for Canadian customers on September 1st, 2023

Microsoft has announced they will be increasing the prices for Azure Services offered in Canadian currency by 6 percent. The increase will more closely align Canadian pricing to US dollar pricing. This price change will take effect on September 1st, 2023. 

Who will be affected by this change?

This price increase will impact Joesoftware customers with any of the Dynamics 365 Azure cloud services. This includes but is not limited to:

Dynamics 365 Business Central Database Capacity
Dynamics 365 Business Central Device
Dynamics 365 Business Central Essential
Dynamics 365 Business Central Premium
Dynamics 365 Business Central Team Member
Dynamics 365 Customer Service
Dynamics 365 Customer Voice
Dynamics 365 Human Resources
Dynamics 365 Marketing
Dynamics 365 Operations
Dynamics 365 Sales
Dynamics 365 Team Members
Microsoft 365
Office 365

When will customers see this change on upcoming invoices?

On or after September 1, 2023, here is how the price increase will impact invoices for the three licensing scenarios:

  1. Annual invoicing: All customers with annual invoicing will see the price increase in the next annual cycle on their renewal anniversary.

  2. Monthly invoicing with annual commitment: All customers who have committed to annual pricing on a monthly subscription will see the price increase in the next annual cycle on their renewal anniversary.

  3. Monthly invoicing (pay-as-you-go): All customers who have pay-as-you-go pricing will see the price increase on their next monthly cycle.
